RANT #1
So I'm laying awake the other night and thoughts of equality comes into my head. Of course I spew out my exact thoughts no problem but once I get online, GONE! SO I will try to regroup.


When do you think we, as humans, will ever attain total equality? Nothing ticks me off more. And when I mean total equality I mean TOTAL. Also bare in mind that I speak only of my experiences and in my community, in my country.


Let's start with the sexes. What is with women calling themselves diva's and goddesses. How much more can they think of themselves. Now I understand that they wish to empower themselves to make themselves feel important, but by doing that, they place themselves on a pedistal and think everyone else lowley. Now that doesn't seem very equal to me when they speak of wanting equality. Let me say, this is not all women, just the one's who "empower" themselves and "de-empower" those around her.


I live in Canada and here, women are treated as a minority. They are given more options for business too. As an example, there are government grants that are listed for women only. Now if you were a woman AND a minority? You've got it made.


In certain professions, our government states that a certain percentage of women and minority's work there. That means that even if someone, anyone, where better in that position, the company HAS to employ a female and/or a person of minority. Now I beleive in the best person for the job. Be they ANY race, religion, or sex. The best person. Especially when the position is a firefighter or some other life saving position. Total equality!
If that best person ends up being a female or person of minority, great! It's the best person for the job! But if not, I'm sorry but I don't think that they should be hired just because of their sex or race. To me THAT is descrimination! But since it's against the majority, male caucasians, people don't care. It's not seen as descrimination since we're the majority. That makes NO sense. Descimination is descrimination.
